The one who does not pray for the Reappearance…

Talking about his child, Imam Hassan Askari (PBUH) said: “I swear by Allah that he’ll have a long absence in which no one is saved from perishing unless the one who Allah makes his belief firm in his (Imam Mahdi’s (PBUH)) Imamate and whom He makes succeed in praying for his Reappearance .” (Kamal al-Din and Tamam al-Nimeh, ch. 38)

In this bright words, perishing means deviating from the path of the Truth and the straight path of faith. According to the narrations, this perishing and deviance are extremely epidemic and severe during the Occultation, so much that one is faithful in the morning but loses his faith and becomes pagan at the night and vice versa. (Al-Ghayba al-Nu'mani, ch. 12)

Imam Hassan Askari (PBUH) has provided us with “praying for the Reappearance” as an effective method to get saved from this terrible chaos and described it as “the only way of salvation.”

The fantastic effects of prayers (very important)

Abu Wallad Hafs Khayyat says: “In Medina, I went to Imam Kazim (PBUH). Imam Said: “Tell your friends (the Shias in Kufa) to keep their piety to Allah, since you are living in the government of a cruel man (Mansour Dawaniqi). So, keep your tongues and protect your lives and religions and repel whatever you are afraid that he would do against you and us by prayers. Because, swear by Allah, prayer and asking Allah will repel calamities, even though it is destined and divine will is assigned to it and only the final phase is left to be decisive... So, keep on preying till Allah eliminates the evil of this tyrant from you.””

Abu Wallad says: “I told what Imam said to my companions and they prayed against Mansour and the same year that he had headed towards Mecca, he died before he could perform the ceremonies of the pilgrimage and we got rid of him. I went to Imam and he said:

“O Abu Wallad, what was the result of the order that I praised you to do? O Abu Wallad, there is no calamity that Allah sends towards a believer and dawn on him to pray unless He resolves that calamity soon. And there is no calamity that Allah sends towards a believer and he refuses to pray unless that calamity will be prolonged.””

(The story is summarized)

(Bihar al-Anwar, v. 90, p. 298)

This is the effect of prayer in the world…

We can do too … Do not let us down …

Recite Faraj prayer, because prayer has effects…

Tears of Imam Mahdi (PBUH)

The late Latifi Nasab narrates: “One of the pious and sincere Shia met Imam Mahdi (PBUH) some time ago and narrated that:

I saw Imam Mahdi (PBUH) very upset that the tears were coming from his eyes and he was complaining about his Shia and his friends, saying that: “Why these people are neglectful and do not sufficiently pray for me and not fulfilling my rights? But if my Shia and my real and sincere friends pray for the Reappearance, God will make the Reappearance happen and make them free from this world‘s sorrow. Alas, they do not pray for my Reappearance sufficiently.””

(Rahe Wesal, page 134)

*The late Latifi Nasab was a great lover of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) who died in 2007. We can describe his dignity by telling that, when he passed away, the great Marja’ Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani sent a consolation message to his family and said: “His eminency is as high as Usman Bin Saeed (the first deputy of Imam Mahdi (PBUH))….I have secrets about him in my heart that I cannot reveal.”

The Faraj prayer; the individual obligatory

(it is obligatory for every Muslim to perform it) or the sufficiency obligatory (as long as sufficient number of Muslims perform it, it’s not obligatory for others to perform it)?

It is said in the book of Mekyal al-Makarem, which is written by the order of Imam Mahdi, that: “According to the verses of the Quran and also Hadiths, prayer is one of the greatest worships. On the other side, undoubtedly one of the most important and valuable prayers of humans, is to pray for the person whom Allah has made his right and praying for him obligatory to all humans and all the divine favors to humanity and creatures are because of him.”

Also undoubtedly the meaning of engaging with Allah is to get busy with worshiping and praying. Therefore praying for Imam Mahdi (PBUH) continuously, will bring that person divine grace in worshiping and serving Allah and He will consider that person as His friend.

Mirza Muhammad Baqir Isfahani says: “I saw in my dream that Imam Hasan (PBUH) said: “Tell to the people to repent and pray for the Reappearance and for hastening the return of Imam Mahdi (PBUH). This prayer is not like the prayer of the dead person which is not obligatory if some amount of people do it, the others are not obliged to do it, but it is obligatory like the daily prayers for those who are in the age of Taklif (after this age, people are obliged to follow and perform religious rules)...””

The most oppressed one in the world

Unfortunately, it’s neglected to remember Imam Mahdi (PBUH) and to pray for his Reappearance in most of the religious gatherings. And, if we know how much we’ve neglected him, we realize how much oppressed he is.

In a revelatory dream, Imam Hussein (PBUH) told one of the scholars of Qom: “Our Mahdi is oppressed even in his time! Talk and write about him as much as you can. Whatever you say about him, you’ve said about all other Imams. Since all of the Imams are in the same level of Imamate and innocence, and since this is Imam Mahdi’s (PBUH) time, it should be talked more about him.”

And at the end he said, “I emphasize again to write and talk a lot about our Mahdi. He is oppressed. It must be talked about and written about him much more than what has currently been talked and written.”

The collection of the most important Mahdavi assertions of Ayatollah Bahjat

1- A genuine panegyrist who is also blissful, has visited Imam Mahdi (PBUH) and he was told by him: “After saluting Muhammad and his progeny (Allahumma salli `ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad), “And speed up their relief (wa `ajjil farajahom)” should be recited. *1

2- Those who have visited Imam Mahdi (PBUH) while awake or in a revelation, have heard from him: “Pray a lot for the hastening of my Reappearance.” *2

3- In Jamkaran Mosque and in Sahla Mosque, Imam Mahdi (PBUH) himself, without being seen, has whispered to his friends either they were awake or in their dreams that: “My Reappearance is close; pray for it.” Or according to other accounts, he has said: “My Reappearance has become close. Pray so it won’t be postponed.” *3

Such assertions by Imam Mahdi (PBUH) are mentioned a lot to his friends and Shias. Now it’s us and the request of Imam Mahdi (PBUH)…
